COOKERY AND WALKING IN LIGURIA, Maximum 12 PARTICIPANTS

COOKERY AND WALKING IN LIGURIA, Maximum 12 PARTICIPANTS - BUONGIORNO LIGURIA
 8-Day holiday to the Ligurian countryside
PROGRAMME:
Day 1: Arrival at Nice airport, transfer to the Bed & Breakfast in Baiardo,  Apricale or Dolceacqua. Welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:Breakfast is followed by a stroll through the village. Free lunch period, when you can enjoy a pizza or torta verde in one of the local restaurants or bars. In the afternoon your first guided wal is in the beautiful surrounding countryside. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3:Breakfast is followed by a bus excursion to the famous Hanbury gardens, beautifully situated by the sea. Free lunch period. In the afternoon the bus goes onto three medieval villages in the Nervia valley. At Dolceacqua, there is a visit to  the Visionarium (a 3-D slide show of the local countryside and people). Following that at Isolabona there is a local wine and olive oil tasting in an old olive mill, accompanied by local snacks. Finally at Apricale, where you can have a stroll through the artists’ village before dinner in a typical regional restaurant. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Breakfast is followed by a guided walk, with a donkey, through the mountains around Baiardo. A delicious picnic is provided. In the afternoon the first cookery lesson will be the preparation of various types of pasta and sauces. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Breakfast is followed by the second cookery lesson: you will be preparing Sardenara (pizza) and Torta Verde. Lunch is at the B&B, enjoying the fruits of your labour. The afternoon and evening are free to relax and enjoy dinner in a restaurant of your own choice. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Breakfast is followed by a guided walk  to the Monte Ceppo (or another area) to explore the local flora and fauna. A packed lunch is provided. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Breakfast is followed by a bus trip to the Sanremo market with the chef, to buy fresh ingredients for the afternoon cooking lesson. There will also be time to explore the weekly market. After returning to Baiardo you will use the vegetables from the market in the last cooking lesson, preparing your own final dinner. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Breakfast is followed by bus transfer to the airport. Flight home.

ITALIAN LANGUAGE, WINE AND COOKING, 20-25 PARTICIPANTS

ITALIAN LANGUAGE, WINE AND COOKING, 20-25 PARTICIPANTS - BUONGIORNO LIGURIA

6-day holiday to the Ligurian coast at Sanremo

PROGRAMME:
Day 1: Arrival at the hotel, welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Breakfast is followed by introductions of all participants to each other and the language teacher, and the first language lesson will teach you the basics of the italian language. Free lunch period. In the afternoon there is a guided walk through Sanremo. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Breakfast is followed by the second language lesson. Free lunch period. In the afternoon there is a bus tour with guide to Dolceacqua, a picturesque medieval village, and a visit the Visionarium (a 3-D slide show of the local countryside and people). The bus will then take you on to Isolabona, where you will have your first tasting of local wines and olive oil in an old olive oil mill. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Breakfast is followed by the third language lesson. Free lunch period. In the afternoon you will have the first cooking lesson. Today you will learn how to prepare authentic Sardenara (pizza), talk about various recipes and watch the prepararation of Italian ice cream. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Breakfast is followed by a bus tour with a guide, through the romantic and panoramic mountain scenery to Pieve di Teco, an old shoemakers’ village. The trip continues to Colle San Bartolomeo, where you will have a typical Italian picnic.Ater that in Sarola, in a small family-run restaurant,  the second cooking lesson teaches you how to prepare pasta dishes and torta verde. Dinner is in the same restaurant, followed by a visit to the wine cellar for a taste of Grappa. Back to the hotel, overnight stay.
Day 6: Breakfast and departure home.
 

WINE AND COOKING, 10 TO 16 PARTICIPANTS

WINE AND COOKING, 10 TO 16 PARTICIPANTS - BUONGIORNO LIGURIA
6-day holiday to the Ligurian coast at Rapallo
PROGRAMME:
Day 1: Arrival in the hotel, welcome cocktail, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Breakfast is followed by a guided tour of the city of Rapallo and its vegetable market. You will be able to watch the famous Italian ice cream being made. Afterwards there is an extensive food and wine tasting. During the afternoon a boat trip will take you to the picturesque fishing village Portofino, beloved of the rich and famous. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Breakfast is followed by the first cooking lesson. You will learn how to prepare fresh pasta and various sauces, ready to enjoy for lunch. Free afternoon period. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Breakfast followed by a train journey to the famous Cinque Terre region. A guide will show you the romantic fishing villages and vineyards. You will have the opportunity to taste the special wines and dishes of the region, and to enjoy a stroll along the famous 'Via dell’amore'. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Breakfast is followed by a train trip to Genoa.  There will be a guided tour through the city and some free time. In the afternoon, back in Rapallo, the second cooking lesson is preparing Focaccia and Torta Verde. In the evening a gala dinner to round off your holiday in style. Overnight stay.
Day 6: Breakfast followed by departure.
